One of the issues discussed near the end of the "Serving Personal Interests" video was the potential to get individuals to value the collective good over their own personal needs and desires. This is indeed possible, as past research has shown, even in a relatively individualistic society; the little league example that I gave is just one such case. With that in mind, in practice, how might one do so$?$ What strategies and tactics would you employ to get people to value the collective good more than their own individual outcomes in order to avoid spoiling the commons?
