One of the leading software manufacturers in India has decided to open a branch in Mauritius and their targeted market will consist mostly of companies operating in the sub-Saharan Africa. While the company will be bringing some experts from India to set up and kick start the business, it is also contemplating of poaching some of the best talents from the Mauritian markets and employ them as core employees of its team. The companies that could be potentially affected by this are alert and have to find means and ways to prevent their employees from leaving them. Organisations attempt to deal with this problem may use the employee contract as a mechanism to tie the employee to the company to ensure benefits are realised or they may use other mechanisms to improve employee satisfaction in the hope that they stay with the company. Other organisations may consider their policy toward training and link it with employee performance and career development.
