One of the most compelling ideas in this week's reading is, "A group of people working together does not make the team." (Hill 2001) A team is built through hard work and dedication to a similar goal. It reminds me of my high school basketball team and the coach yelling, "There is no "I" in the team!" This statement still applies to everything, including educational teams. It is interesting that page 4 reads, (just like team sports) an effective team performs, individual members are satisfied, and team members adapt. My question for this reading is that team members often monopolize the setting, whether a basketball game or a meeting.
