Operations and Finances/Marketing are two functions that I thought about when it comes to the airline's plan to serve flights into La Guardia. Collaboration among business functions is important because it is an expansion of the company by adding on an additional location. People would need to be hired for that location to cover shifts, which means they need for an HR representative and management should also be there. Without this interdepartmental functioning then the expansion cannot take place easily. It would create great difficulties if the company could not come up with a proper plan for the expansion, and also a proper schedule to work with the La Guardia airport. It takes a whole team to run a company because everyone has their own part to play. It is like thinking of the human body, how the heart pumps blood to the rest of the body and the lungs oxygenate it. It is a cycle that continues so that the team of agents can work interdepartmentally to work towards a common goal.
