1. Choose a small organization in your city, such as a restaurant or school.

a. Draw a chart showing its structure.

b. Do you believe the number of levels in its hierarchy and the span of control at each level are appropriate?

A)We will discuss about the organizational chart of a school located in a small city.

The school is a small, vernacular school with a smaller quantum of students and subjects being taught in the school.

Organization Structure:

B) The number of hierarchy levels in the school is 3 for administration and finance wing. However, the Education wing has 4 levels of hierarchy.

The levels of hierarchy are justified because administration and finance take little resources of the school and are easily handled with lower amount of staff.

However, to exercise better control on teachers and ensure effective delivery of education having an addiional level of hierrchy in education wing is justified. This additional layer of hierarchy helps strengthen the control and coordination among the teachers.

Hence, this is why the levels of hierarchies are justified for given school.

C)The levels of hierarchies are justified for given school.

Reason:

The levels of hierarchies support the fiancial aspects by controling and limiting infrastructure expenses and operational expenses. Thus, it provides financial viability.

Secondly, these levels of hierarchies are essential to ensure effective control of the management and effective necessary changes and instructions accordingly to function as per directives of the school.
