Using information from the Module 4 readings, presentations, and resources, and your work experience, you will create a 2- to- 3-minute animated training video for your team about professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and respect in the workplace.

Step 1. Review Review this modules readings, resources linked on the Learning Objects page, and the 21st-Century Toolbox Thinking Skill: Thinking Professionally. Keep these topics in mind as you review resources:

  • Dependability
  • Ethics and honesty
  • Cultural sensitivity and bias
  • Appearances
  • Attitudes
  • Online communication
  • Personal and professional lives
  • Respect for others

Step 2. Draft Draft a list of recommendations for an employee to exhibit professionalism and a list of precautions which could inhibit these efforts. Include recommendations for individual and team practices. Use these lists to compose your training video script titled The Dos and Donts of a Professional Work Environment.

Step 3. Select Select a tool to create your video. (See resources linked on the Learning Objects page.)

Step 4. Design and Create Design and create a 2- to 3-minute animated training video titled The Dos and Donts of a Professional Work Environment. Use colors, fonts, and images to make the video aesthetically appealing.

Your presentation should include:

  • at least 5 recommendations for Dos (i.e., tips for instilling and maintaining a professional work environment)
  • at least 5 recommendations for Donts (i.e., tips for ways to avoid appearing unprofessional).

Consider the following when designing your presentation:

  • Keep in mind the intended purpose for your video is to train colleagues in a professional workplace. You may include an imaginary companys name (e.g., ABC or XYZ).
  • Think of how a professional environment is already implemented at a company and how you could potentially improve it.
  • Dont use real names in the video.

Step 5. Develop and Add Write a script for the video in a Word document and then add the audio narration to the video. Include an APA-formatted reference.

Step 6. Submit Submit your video to the assignment using the appropriate assignment submission type (i.e., File Upload, Web URL, or Text Entry). To submit the additional script file and reference list (PPT, Word, etc.), click New Attempt on the assignment page and use the File Upload submission type.
