Objective: The objective of this project is to design and simulate the integration of Cisco Software-Defined Access (SD-Access) and Cisco Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) solutions in a hypothetical enterprise network environment. This project aims to demonstrate the benefits of centralized policy management, network segmentation, and optimized WAN connectivity.
Project Overview:
In this project, you will simulate the integration of Cisco SD-Access and SD-WAN solutions in a fictional enterprise environment called "Mzansi New Age ICT." This company has multiple branch offices located across different geographical regions and requires a modern, secure, and efficient network infrastructure to support its operations.

Simulate the network topology using Packet Tracer,Cisco sandbox, GNS3, or any simulation tool.
Design a virtual LAN (VLAN) architecture for both wired and wireless networks.
Deploy Cisco Catalyst switches as the access, distribution, and core layers of the network.
Integrate Cisco DNA Center for SD-Access management and policy enforcement.
Deploy Cisco ISR routers at each branch office for WAN connectivity.
SD-Access Configuration:
Configure Cisco DNA Center for fabric discovery and domain creation.
Define network policies based on user roles, device types, and application requirements.
Implement network segmentation using Virtual Networks (VN) and Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) instances.
Configure Access Control Policies (ACP) for traffic segmentation and security enforcement.
SD-WAN Configuration:
Deploy Cisco vSmart controllers in the data center for centralized control and policy enforcement.
Configure Cisco vEdge routers at branch offices to establish secure VPN tunnels.
Define WAN Edge policies for intelligent traffic steering based on application performance and business priorities.
Implement Quality of Service (QoS) policies for optimizing application performance over the WAN.

Integration and Testing:
Integrate SD-Access and SD-WAN solutions to ensure seamless communication between the LAN and WAN.
Test end-to-end connectivity, policy enforcement, and application performance across the network.
Conduct failover and load balancing tests to validate WAN resilience and redundancy.
Use monitoring tools like Cisco DNA Assurance and vManage for real-time visibility and troubleshooting.
Documentation and Presentation:
Document the network design, configurations, and testing procedures.
Create a presentation highlighting the benefits of integrating SD-Access and SD-WAN in improving network agility, security, and user experience.
Project Deliverables:
Network Topology Diagram
Configuration Scripts for SD-Access and SD-WAN devices
Test Plan and Results
