   Your interest in the Company, its Culture, Mission / Vision, and Formation (using MS Word – no more than 2 double spaced pages)

   Requirement: Write a memorandum describing

   1. Your interest in the Company,
   2. How the Company was formed - - what year, and by whom. Cite any mergers and acquisitions the company has had – for the past 10 years only.
   3. the Company's Culture (what is it like to work there?) (Is it informal and fun, is it rigid and strict?)
   4. (4) the Company’s mission and vision, if they have one. Comment on if you feel their mission/vision are appropriate; if they don’t have one, write a sample one.

   The memo must not be more than two double-spaced typed pages.

   The format of the memo must also be as shown below. Note that there must be four headings typed into the assignment and shown in the body of the memo.

   The Company's Marketing Strategy

   (Using PowerPoint, one slide, and MS Word, one double-spaced page)

   Task: Assume that you are a specialist in a prestigious marketing consulting firm. Write a short memo (double spaced) to the CEO of Amazon.com explaining the reason to change to a new marketing strategy and develop a full page advertisement for the Company to appear in a recognized business or general publication. The letter to the CEO must not be more than two paragraphs. The full page advertisement should be done in PowerPoint. Be creative.

   You should have an understanding of the compatibility of marketing within the organizational environment and should have an understanding of the marketing principles of promotion, production, price, and place.

   Section #3

   The Company's Financial Management (using Excel for one spreadsheet, using Google or Yahoo finance for a stock chart, and MS Word, one double spaced page)

   Task: Assume that you are an officer, likely CFO or Controller, of the company. Write a letter to the stockholders explaining reasons for the past good year (or year of disappointment). In the letter, describe a minimum of two ways that the Amazon could improve its financial position. The letter must not be more than one double-spaced page. In addition, attach to the letter supporting financial information using Excel spreadsheets and graphs (i.e., stock trends).

   For the excel: you must include the following data points: Revenue, Expense, Profit/Loss. Note that the more you include, the better, but these three are the minimum. Please include the past three years of data: 2016, 2015, and 2014. Do not just download their balance sheet; you must create this spreadsheet in excel. This is one attachment. The second attachment is a stock trend graph, (3 copies, for 3 time periods), to be created in google or yahoo finance. It will include at least three comparative companies, the S&P 500 index, the Beta, the P/E, and dividends, if any. A three year, five years, and 10 years’ chart is required.
