Parametric testing will make assumptions about the population parameters. Non parametric testing will not do this. The assumptions maybe that population has a specific mean. It could be that it has a specific standard deviation. A chi square test is considered nonparametric because t don't assume that underlying population is normally distributed. It is more based on frequency distribution. To conduct a chi square test you need observed frequencies, expected frequencies, and degree of freedom. Is this true
