Part 1. Create two radical equations: one that has an extraneous solution, and one that does not have an extraneous solution. Use the equation below
Part 1.Create two radical equations: one that has an extraneous solution, and one that does not have an extraneous solution. Use the equation below as a model. (i do not know what a radical equation is)
ax+b+c=d
Use a constant in place of each variable a, b, c, and d. You can use positive and negative constants in your equation.
Part 2.Show your work in solving the equation. Include the work to check your solution and show that your solution is extraneous.
Part 3.Explain why the first equation has an extraneous solution and the second does not.

Part 2:Create a scenario for a geometric sequence. For example, Anthony goes to the gym for _20_ minutes on Monday. Every day he _increases_ his gym time by __. If he continues this pattern, how many minutes will he spend at the gym on the 5th day? Be sure to fill in the blanks with the words that will create a geometric sequence. Use your scenario to write the formula for the 5th term in your sequence using sequence notation.
Part 3:Use your scenario from part 2 to write a question that will lead to using the geometric series formula. Use the formula to solve for Snin your scenario.
for the part two in the second paragraph i don't know how to continue it for it to be geometric, would i say (amount) or (amount for the amount he does certain thing)? For part 3 i do not know what the Sn is they are talking about.
I will change your answers for my own i just need help figuring out how i should go about doing it. (revision)
