Select the two that best fit your view of the term "justice" and tell why you selected each. 2. To achievejustice,we must treat everyone equally. This is an idea held by many people, but it is often shortsighted and incomplete, thus perpetuating injustices. Maya and Megan are both applicants to law school. Both graduated with honors from their colleges Maya from Kentucky State University (an historically Black College] and Megan from the University of Kentucky. Megan had slightly higher LSAT test scores and she had an impressive set of letters of recommendation from prominent lawyers,judges, politicians, and educators to su pport her application. M aya's scores were a bit lower and her recom mendation letters were from former teachers, coaches, and employers who knew her well. One member of the admissions group suggested that Maya be judged in light of her poorer background, showing that although her references were not as impressive and her scores slightly lower, she had proven herself worthy because she had risen from a poorer starting point. In the end, though, the admissions group chose to treat each applicant equally based on the same criteria, and Maya's lower scores and weak set of recommendations led to her being denied admissions.
