A healthy lifestyle is a way of living that supports physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It involves making choices and engaging in behaviors that promote good health and prevent illness and disease. Balanced Diet, Regular Exercise, Proper sleep, and Stress Management are some of the components of a healthy lifestyle. By making healthy choices and adopting these habits, you can help prevent many health problems and improve your quality of life. Unfortunately, maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be challenging for many people, and there are several struggles that one may face when trying to adopt healthy habits. Here are some of the most common struggles:
Time management: Finding time to exercise, prepare healthy meals, and get enough sleep can be difficult when juggling a busy schedule.
Temptation: Unhealthy food options, sedentary activities, and social pressure to indulge can make it difficult to stick to healthy habits.
Stress: Stressful events in life can make it difficult to maintain healthy habits, as people may turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms like comfort eating or skipping workouts.
Lack of time: Many people lead busy lives and may find it difficult to find time to exercise, prepare healthy meals, or get enough sleep.
Overcoming these struggles requires patience, persistence, and a willingness to make healthy choices even in challenging situations. Seeking support from family, friends, or a healthcare professional can also be helpful in maintaining motivation and staying on track towards a healthy lifestyle.
With that, we wanted to create an application called Health Coach, designed to help maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle. It will have features like nutrition tracking, exercise tracking, sleep tracking, coaching, and community support to provide a user-friendly platform to help individuals achieve their health goals.
We understand, there might be a lot of existing nutrition app available, but mostly of them just focus on one thing, its either just diet, just sleep management, or just the work out routine. Health Coach will have the following features below:
1. Nutritional tracking: Users can keep track of their food consumption and get tailored advice based on their tastes and goals.
2. Exercise tracking: Users can keep tabs on their exercise, establish goals, and get workout recommendations.
3. Sleep tracking: Users can keep an eye on their sleeping habits and get advice on how to get better-quality rest.
4. Coaching: Clients will have access to individualized health counselling and assistance from licensed coaches.
5. Community: For inspiration and support, users can interact with other Health Coach users.
Decision Matrix:
The effectiveness, usability, feasibility, and cost of the possible options were evaluated using the decision matrix. We chose Health Coach as the best option after weighing all of the available options because it met every criterion.
