Part 1: Project tasks To complete the part of the assessment, you will be required to answer questions to demonstrate your ability to apply skills and strategies to enhance and develop critical thinking in others. This part of the assessment can be based on a workplace scenario, using the templates provided for the Gelos Enterprises scenario. Once you have read the information, you are required to complete written responses to questions in the spaces provided in this document. Please ensure you take note of the volume of response requirement where indicated.

Task 1: Setting the scene

For this task, the student will be required to complete a series of questions to set the scene for the remaining tasks in this assessment event.

You may base the scenario on a real or fictional workplace. It may also be your own workplace. Review Gelos Enterprises existing policies and systems. 1. You are a team leader and you've been given an organisational mandate by your line manager Mr Robert Goodwin, to encourage the use of PPE in your department. However, you notice a general lack of awareness about the 'Use of Personal Protective Equipment Procedure (PPE)' guidelines, and you need to work with your team to solve this issue. Illustrate the problem statement in the space provided below and list some possible problems that could arise due to the lack of awareness.

2. Currently, the 'Use of Personal Protective Equipment Procedure (PPE)' guidelines are only available through voluntary access on the organisation website. Recommend critical and creative thinking models that you would like to use with your team to enable their critical and creative thinking skills to come up with solutions to increase awareness of the guidelines in your department. 3. As you are currently working remotely, you will need to set up an initial meeting to discuss knowledge gaps and appropriate learning opportunities with your team members, to better understand the purpose and value of PPE in the workplace and to increase attention towards using it when required.

4. Write out a list of questions you would like to ask your team members at the meeting, to determine their knowledge gaps on the subject being discussed.

Task 2: Conduct a team meeting ( please I need a script for conducting a team meeting)

The objective of this task is to conduct a meeting with your team to discuss the issue identified in Task 1 and use critical and creative thinking methods to identify solutions to address it.

You will also monitor the team's skill development on critical and creative thinking and share your recommendations on alternative learning arrangements to be implemented in future planning when conducting a meeting.

To complete the part of the assessment, you will participate in a 15-20 minute role-play with your identified team members to demonstrate your ability to lead a meeting to develop critical and creative thinking skills in others within a workplace context. The meeting aims to facilitate a formal or informal meeting to present a safe environment where group members can apply critical thinking skills to solve workplace problems. This will allow the team to develop and apply critical and creative thinking skills. You will be required to work with your team members to present ideas verbally and gather the group's opinions. As part of the meeting, you should also ensure the meeting addresses the following: Explains the key features of critical and creative thinking and their application to the workplace Creates a safe environment where group members can apply critical thinking skills to workplace problems and provide feedback for their performance Facilitates formal and informal learning opportunities to develop and apply critical and creative thinking skills You can also use any other handouts or resources within the meeting if you choose. You will play the team leader's role, and you may allot the part of your team members to the people you work with, other students in your course or friends and family.
