Part 1: The Program

Explain in detail:

• The program you identified within your specialization area (My specialization is Special Education) that is in need of evaluation. Be sure to include the purpose of the program, stakeholders involved in the program, and at least two current goals of the program.
• Current program data and what the data is telling you about the effectiveness of the program. Be sure to include what additional data you believe should be collected to support a change.
• The strategies, activities, or program initiatives that are currently in place to help the program to be effective and meet its goals. Be sure to explain to what extent the program initiatives are supported by research and data.

Part 2: Evaluation Tool Planning

Explain in detail:

• At least five key quality indicators to measure the effectiveness of your selected program. (Special Education) Provide a rationale for each indicator supported with reference to program goals, initiatives, and research.
• The type of criteria you can use to evaluate the indicators and how you might set up your evaluation tool. Provide a rationale for your criteria and evaluation tool design.
• The strategies you will employ to establish buy-in and collaboration from other stakeholders regarding conducting a program evaluation. Provide a rationale as to why the selected strategies would be effective with your program's stakeholders.
