Part 1 Topic: My field of study topic is the occupation of U.S. Marshal because it is a career that both interests me and one I can achieve with the degree I am currently pursuing. In my field of study project I aim to cover the general overview of the position, why I feel the job is beneficial to society and the history of the U.S. Marshal. Reason: The reason I have chosen U.S. marshal for my field of studytopic is because I have always held the U.S. Marshal agents in high regards as they are this nations oldest and most versatile federal law enforcement agencies. Also, I find this career interesting in the fact that it is both helpful to society, fast paced and affords a salary, which is beneficial to my family. I also feel this career would have a large potential for future growth. Scope: The scope of my project is to discover all aspects of the duties, privileges and education of a U.S. Marshal to further learn what the job entails. Value: The value of this project is to learn how to properly research a topic while also learning about a future career one may choose to pursue. Part 2 I believe finding reputable information online about the career of U.S. Marshal will not be too challenging. I plan to use reputable sources and cite them to be sure they are credible and without bias. I plan to consult textbooks, encyclopedias, personal journals and online sources. I will research the backgrounds of qualified U.S. Marshals to determine what person would likely be interested in the job and who most often gets hired in these positions.
