Part A

• Select a recent current event that showcases a change at a larger level.
  • This event can be at the organizational, community, or society level
  • The event should have occurred in the last 5 years.
• You can find information and details on the event from news media, articles, reports, etc.
• For instance, an event could be the merger/acquisition of companies and the culture shift, the change in open-space workspaces over the private offices, change of leadership, organizational restructure, etc.

Example of change effort:

Analyzing and evaluating a change in a company (or industry as a whole) when Steve Jobs had quit as CEO of Apple.(Links to an external site.)

Part B

Analyze the event to answer the following questions:

• What was the change effort focused on?
• What led to it and made it worth doing?
• What were the intended results?
• What might have been political, strategic, and cultural challenges during the change effort?
• How did the process go, or how has it gone so far?
• What has worked better? Worse?

Apply and highlight as many concepts from the LOC(Leading organizational Change) as you can while documenting your analysis
