Part B Questions Based on the Problem Statement (Complete all the FIVE questions of Part B) (The mark of each question in this section is as indicated) PROBLEM STATEMENT (For All Questions in Part B) Fantastic Asia Cuisine (FAC) is a franchise business with five restaurants in Western Sydney area. Each restaurant of FAC can host a banquet party with up to 120 customers or accept group dining booking (at the customer site) with up to 300 diners. Take-away possesses a substantial percentage of the business. Presently, there is no capability for a potential customer to place the order online. Each FAC restaurant has only an onsite/phone ordering system and there is almost no collaboration among the five restaurants. The business of Fantastic Asia Cuisine is expanding quickly in recent years with two restaurants' capacity being doubled and one new restaurant is planned to open shortly. The owners of the FAC have realised the importance of online booking and delivery and cooperation among all FAC restaurants. A new management system is thus proposed as the solution. One main module of the new system is for online/onsite food ordering. The system should record the customer's name, food details, take-away (self-picks or delivery) or dine-in (table reservation), and payment methods. Customers can register with FAC for the convenience and discount in their subsequent food orders with the restaurant franchise. Besides, each online food order and delivery could be automatically allocated to any an FAC restaurant according to the customer location and the FAC operations at the ordering time should there be no requirements specified by the customer. with the new system, the Stock/Menu Management Module should allow a manager to perform inventory control and update available stocks to meet the requirements of FAC normal operations and prepare for bookings of banquet parties and group dining. One important function of the module is to add, edit or remove food items in restaurants menus according to the chefs' suggestions, market demands, and availabilities of food materials and sources The functional requirements of the Staff Maintenance Module include managing personal profiles of FAC employees such position, skills, degree, and salary etc., creating and updating weekly work schedule of each restaurant and cross-restaurant work roaster for the cooperation of the restaurant franchise.
