For this part of assessment, you are required to participate in a meeting with the colleagues and restaurant manager to discuss the control measures suggested by you for the identified hazards. This is a role-play and you will play the role of cook at Acumen restaurant. During the meeting, you must: Discuss the hazards and risks you identified and your suggestions to control risks Explain how you utilised the hierarchy of risk control and why you believe your suggestions are appropriate in the circumstances. Ask for feedback from the colleagues on the suggested risk controls Assertively suggest control methods with others Listen attentively to the suggestions from colleagues and restaurant manager and make notes of the discussions. You will be observed on your ability to: actively and cooperatively participate in group risk assessments suggest the control methods assertively Your assessor will organise volunteers to play the role of restaurant manager and other colleagues. The time limit for the role-play is 10 minutes. Your assessor will provide the volunteers with cue cards and brief them on the role that the volunteers are going to play. Prior to the assessment, read the Role Play Observation Checklist to identify the standard of performance expected of you in this task. Your assessor will record and assess your performance using the Role Play Observation Checklist below.
