The value-add needs to provide financial value as well. Milestone Resources Construction Costs Resource (Links to an external site.) Required Part II Prepare a detailed schedule of the Value-Add. The value-add should be divided by categories as bulleted above. The value-add should be sufficiently detailed and realistic. If you have limited information, you may use online sources (such as RS Means), fellow students or other sources to make estimates for the cost(s) for your Value-Add. You may either develop the value-add costs on a per square basis or by specific identification (eg new kitchen cabinets at $4,500). If you have both hard and soft costs you will need to add them together to arrive at the total value-add categories listed above.
