We will have a recorded office hour to discuss this problem set next week on Thursday, 1-14-21. The problem set will be due on 1-24-21 at 11:59 PM PST. Only three problems will be fully graded, but please let me know if there are questions on any of the problems, or if anything is unclear. You may work together on this problem set. There are 20 points possible per mechanism. 1) KNH, 2) 2-pentanone 3) dilute HCl(aq) HC 8. CH 1) NaNH, 2) dilute HCl(aq) HC 9. CH PART TWO: Propose a multi-step synthesis of the following compound, using acetylene and compounds containing no more than 4 carbon atoms, with reactions you have learned through chapter 9. Mechanisms are NOT required for this section, but include all reagents necessary, the structure of each major product, and any side products for each step in the reaction scheme.
