Participants were enrolled in a class that emphasized exercise and health. The class only lasted a month but during this time they were given a Fitbit to keep track on their activity and sleep. Dr. Lopez put the subjects into 3 groups some exercised during class (n= 7) some learned to meditated (n =7) some listened to a lecture on healthy eating (n=7). At the end of the month, students were asked to track the amount of time they slept per a night and they calculate the mean for each subject's total sleep time per a night (see data below). Dr. Lopez's hypothesis is that his class that exercised would have slept longer per night than the subjects that meditated or listened to a lecture. He is comparing 3 groups and his dependent variable is the amount of sleep. Utilize an ANOVA between subjects' design test, alpha level .05 & use a directional test.
