Patent Activity:

• Find the patent number for a United States patent. There are a number of ways to do this search the internet for patented products and obtain the patent number, look around you for items that are marked with a patent number, or, my favorite, conduct a Google image search for funny US patents or something similar and look at some of the results to find a US patent number. Dont spend too much time on this part the main purpose of this activity is for you to learn how to locate a copy of the patent at the USPTO.

  • Type of patent (utility, design or plant; type of patent can be identified by the patent number and the information on the patent number search feature page);
