Spatio-temporal variation in predation risk is predicted to select for plastic anti-predator responses, which may in turn impact the fine-scale social structure of prey groups and processes mediated by that structure. To test these predictions, we manipulated the ambient predation risk experienced by Trinidadian guppy (Poecilia reticulata) groups before quantifying their social networks and recording individual latencies to approach and solve a novel foraging task. The dataset includes information on 253 independent guppy fish**. Fish were exposed to either a high or low level predator risk environment (column: RiskTreatment; LowRisk = individuals exposed to low levels of predator risk, HighRisk = individuals exposed to high levels of predator risk) for multiple days before Matthew assessed if they could solve a task. He set up a task box and determined if each fish approached (column: Approached; value of 0 = did not approach, value of 1 = approached) and entered (column: Solved; value of 0 = did not enter/solve, value of 1 = entered/solved) the box. For individuals that did approach and solve the task, Matthew recorded the time (in seconds) it took for the fish to approach (column: ApproachLatency) and solve (column: SolveLatency) the task.
