PERSONALITY AND SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY: THE PRESENTATION HAS TO BE ON PERSONALITY AND SOCIAL PSYCHOLO This will need to include any PowerPoint presentation slides, handouts, presentation outline, and other materials required for your presentation. There will be a “Discussion” area set up for these submissions, and in order to submit your materials, you will need use the "Reply" button, type in the information specified into the comment box, and use the "Attach" button to attach the materials to your response (you can attach multiple different attachments to the same post). Information to include in your post : Describe the basics of the psychology specialty or subspecialty, including the name and other information such as the focus and types of individuals served. What is the goal of the specialty? How long has specialty been existence? How did the specialty evolve and become established? - Describe the training required for psychologists and other mental health practitioners conducting services, interventions or research within the specialty. What is the required knowledge, skills, and abilities of these professionals? What type of training, internships, and/or specialized postdoctoral trainings are required for these professionals to become proficient within the specialty? What types of certifications and licensures are necessary for these professionals? Describe the type(s) of treatments, interventions or research delivered within the specialty of psychology. What are the specifics of the interventions or treatments? How long do the interventions take to complete? How much do the services cost and how do patients or clients pay for the services? Please note that all students in the course will need to access this information for review/study for the Final Exam. The Final Exam will be based on information from both the lecture materials and handouts prior to the Midterm, as well as information provided by your fellow students about their assigned specialty. In reviewing their information, you can look for things that are unique to those specialties (e.g. type of setting; population served - age ranges; services and interventions provided and other information about the specialty).
