This assignment relates to the following Course Learning Requirements:

CLR 1 - Locate, interpret and apply Statute and Case Law to offences against the persons, property and public order, as well situations related to weapons and drug related offences.

CLR 2 - Analyze elements of offences related to Firearms Act, the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, offences against persons, property or public order, by applying the basic principles of criminal law as indicated in the Criminal Code of Canada.

CLR 3 - Explain the relationship between the Criminal Code and other selected Federal Statutes such as Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Firearms Act.

Objective of this Assignment: To discuss the Arrest process and responsibilities of a Police Officer. Instructions: As a Police Officer, pre-trial procedure is in essence a core function of your job.
