Phenyl phosphate, is an artificial substrate and incubated with alkaline phosphatase in the presence of 4mM homoarginine. The data when plotted is a Michaelis-Menton enzyme. The equation of a Lineweaver-Burk plot with inhibitor is y =0.7348+1.9194, while the equation of a straight line without inhibitor is y =0.7265+0.7224. The units for concentration is mM and the units for Vo are mM * min-1). Please calculate Km and Vmax for alkaline phosphatase with and without homoarginine. What would i do if ever given the wrong units for the Vo or Km? How would you convert that into correct untis? Thanks!
