Philip is a democratic leader. He plays a participative function in the decision-making process. He took up the leadership role at the group meeting and called for advice from his peers about how to fix the dilemma at the gym. The decision-making responsibilities are shared by a democratic leader while retaining the ultimate say in the final agreement (Mitchell 2017, 51). Philip focuses heavily on making sure his voice counts and that he is self-confident, energetic and influential. I would say that by being assertive and exploiting his power in the office, Philip avoids harming those around him. Exchanging harsh allegations with his colleagues would make matters worse in the office, and other staff members would have a negative perception of Philip. To strengthen his leadership style, I would recommend that Philip assures that his colleagues are all striving for the same goal and solving the interpersonal challenges he faces
