Objective: Identifying copyright restrictions on Internet photos

Requirements:

Go to the website freeimages.com. This is an excellent source for images that you can use for class projects, presentations, papers or websites.

Identify a photo that you might use for your Competency 3 research paper or your Competency 4 presentation. You can enter a search topic to help you find relevant photos.

View the license agreement for the image. Based on the information in the agreement, would you be able to use this image in your paper or presentation? Why or why not?

Go to google.com/images and search for images that you could use for the Competency 3 research paper or Competency 4 presentation.

Select an image that you might use and click on it.

View the page where the image is found. Can you find any licensing or copyright information about the photo? If so, what information did you find?

Based on the information, would you be able to use this image in your paper or presentation? Why or why not?

Go back to google.com/images where you did your initial search.

Click on the setting options directly below the search box near the center of the top of screen and select Advanced Search.

Scroll down to the Usage rights drop-down list and select 'Free to use or share' and then click the Advanced Search button.

Select an image that you might use, and click on it.

View the page where the image is found. Can you find any licensing or copyright information about the photo? If so, what information did you find?

Based on the information, would you be able to use this image in your paper or presentation? Why or why not?

Create a word or text file to submit your findings. Be sure to be specific about your image research

Attach a document with the information. Be sure to include the URL of each image that you selected.
