Company A has numerous RTX programs throughout the United States and is supplied gear and equipment from Company B. Company B receives orders from each of these RTX programs and ships them out to each program. First items needed for the program are identified by the supply technician at the RTX program by checking the Excel inventory file on the computer. The supply technician then uses a computer to access company B's online requisitioning system. In the requisitioning system clothing, gear, and equipment can be ordered. Each item has its own unique serial number, name, selectable size, selectable quantity, and price. The supply technician then verifies what needs to be ordered and informs the supply manager. The supply manager then inputs the sales order into the computer. The computer updates Company B's requisition system and given a unique order number, and the supply manager receives a confirmation on the computer which updates the order file. Once orders arrive to the respective RTX program, the supply technician inspects the goods. The supply technician then marks each item as received within Company B's requisition system and updates the order file to mark the goods as delivered. Once the goods are received, the supply manager verifies the shipping receipt with the order file. The receipt is then input into the RTX program's financial database file to record the financial information.
