PROCESS
1. Students have to work with their assigned to group members.
2. Group members will select a topic for their training program. The topic will be one in which most of the group members have expertise and in which most of the class has little expertise.
3. The group will conduct a needs assessment. Analysis should be conducted at both the task and person levels.
4. The group will develop training objectives based on the task analysis data.
5. The group will develop a detailed proposal for their training program, which will include:
a. title and overall description of the program
b. training objectives
c. training methods to be used and the rationale for using them (including a discussion of the principles on which the choices are based).
d. a tentative lesson plan
e. a list and brief description of training materials
f. a program evaluation plan. Evaluation should be done at both the reaction and learning levels.
6. The group will receive feedback on the proposal, make revisions, and then
develop the training program.
7. The group will implement the training programin class (Presentation),
using class members not in their group as the trainees.
8. The group will carry out the evaluation planand write a final report that evaluates the effectiveness of the program and gives the group's summary and evaluation of the project. Training materials, final lesson plan, and evaluation instruments must be submitted.
