PROCESS

1. Students have to work with their assigned to group members.

2. Group members will select a topic for their training program. The topic will be one in which most of the group members have expertise and in which most of the class has little expertise.

3. The group will conduct a needs assessment. Analysis should be conducted at both the task and person levels.

4. The group will develop training objectives based on the task analysis data.

5. The group will develop a detailed proposal for their training program, which will include:

a. title and overall description of the program

b. training objectives

c. training methods to be used and the rationale for using them (including a discussion of the principles on which the choices are based).

d. a tentative lesson plan

e. a list and brief description of training materials

f. a program evaluation plan. Evaluation should be done at both the reaction and learning levels.

6. The group will receive feedback on the proposal, make revisions, and then

develop the training program.

7. The group will implement the training programin class (Presentation),

using class members not in their group as the trainees.

8. The group will carry out the evaluation planand write a final report that evaluates the effectiveness of the program and gives the group's summary and evaluation of the project. Training materials, final lesson plan, and evaluation instruments must be submitted.

SPECIFICS

1. Students are encouraged to use HRD books and articles to help them

perform the tasks involved in this project.

2. The training program itself should last 30minutes, excluding any

evaluation completed by the participants.

3. Final written report must be submitted must be typed with right index numbers.

1. Project Plan - Clear, detailed, and equitable.

2. Task Analysis - Appropriate methods used,Clear identification of learners current state of skill/knowledge? Thorough research into task/knowledge? Clear, detailed description of task/knowledge areas, conditions, tools/equipment used to do task, appropriate needs analysis data adequate to develop objectives and design the course;

3. Design/Implementation Proposal - Proposal must clearly address all key areas; training objectives must be specific and appropriate;Rationale for and appropriateness of training methods selected given; Adequacy of tentative lesson plan;

4. Evaluation Proposal - Evaluation plan and instruments appropriateness; Address both reaction and learning level; Provide convincing rationale for choices selected;

5. Program Implementation - Extent to which program is implemented according to the agreed-upon proposal and is delivered clearly and effectively (e.g., oral communication, responsiveness to trainee questions); All members significantly involved in the implementation of the program;

6. Final Report - Training materials must be clear, complete, and relevant; Evaluation and conclusions must be appropriate and supported;Show evidence program was successful;
