Answer the following questions about the importance of planning and organization for a hospitality supervisor. Review Chapter 3 of your course book.

1. In class, working with a partner, discuss how planning relates to all aspects of a supervisors job. Take notes on your discussion and include what you have discussed in your submission of this project.

2. Then, individually, give specific examples of how lack of planning can affect getting the job done as a hospitality supervisor. Include an example from your own general experience.

3. a. In your opinion, what responsibility does a supervisor have for departmental organization?

b. If you were hired for a job in which the organization was poor, how would you straighten things out as the manager?

c. How would you work with your own supervisor in reorganizing things?
