"I think that as a society we have made considerable progress in becoming more open and accepting of other ideas, perspectives and cultures. There have been significant improvements, changes and advances in the areas of racial discrimination, sex discrimination, and overall bigotry. I think that people nowadays are far more open to sharing the world with people of other races and cultures than people were just barely 100 years ago. However, although we've made progress as a society, I still think that we are far from finished, and should set goals that extend far further than where we are right now. I think that the issue that is most at the forefront in the current day is racial inequality in the job market and also racially motivated issues such as police brutality and the recent brutality Asians have faced in the past few years. I think that the progress that we have made in the past few decades in regards to opening up to other races and cultures is a good sign, and that we should expect to continue to make progress in the decades to come. Racial equality was quite frankly only and Idea until about 60-70 years ago with the beginnings of the civil rights movement. Considering that this change was extremely recently in the scope of history, I think that the progress we have made so far is considerable and that we should continue to expect improvement as our generation becomes adults. But I also believe that we need to continue to push for progress and not settle for the things that we have worked for so far. Bigotry and racism, although significantly reduced, still run rampant nation wide and especially concentrated in certain areas. I think that we need to concentrate efforts into improving these areas in order to make a better attitude and environment in workplaces all across the world."
