Question 2: (10+ 15-25 points) Part A: Design of a combinational circuit full adder. Use A,B,C for the inputs variables and S,C for the outputs (s for sum and C for carry). Answer the following questions. (i) Build the truth table of your circuit (ii) Use the K-map to simplify the logic function S in its sum-of-products (SoP) form. (ii) Use K-map to simplify the logic function C in its sum-of products (SoP) form. (iv) Draw the logic circuit. Part-B: Given the circuit below answer the following questions. (i) Obtain F, in its sum of products (SoP) canonical form. (ii) Obtain F2 in its product of sums (PoS) canonical form. (iii) Obtain the truth table for F3. (iv) Implement F3 using a multiplexer. (v) Use 2-to-4 decoders to build the necessary decoder to implement F2. Use an external OR gate at the output of the decoder (that you built with 2-to-4 decoders) to implement F2 in its sum of products form (SoP). (Assume OR gates with any number of inputs are available). 3 x 8 y21 Decoder 20 4
