Let's try something new for this week's discussion post. Your job this week is to review the sample contract in your module as a business person would. Pretend you are the BUYER of the goods in the contract. You are buying crucial equipment for your start up sour dough bread baking company. The Seller's lawyer wrote the contract, and you suspect it was written in the Seller's favor. Your attorney is reviewing the contract for you, and asks you if you have any specific questions about the contract she can answer. For your discussion post, post 3 questions ( 10 pts. each) to the discussion board that you would ask your attorney about the contract as follows: 1. Your first question should ask for further explanation about a section of the contract that is less than clear to you. Tell the lawyer your understanding of the section, then ask a question that helps you get the added legal information you need for a confident purchase. 2. Your second question should ask about making a specific change to the contract. Request a contract revision that you think will make the contract better for you as the Buyer. 3. Your third question can be any question at all, as long as you ask something that matters to protecting your new business from entering a bad contract. Remember to correspond professionally with your attorney. Time is money here. Ask clear questions worth asking a lawyer who charges you $175/ hour. Please ask each of your questions as a separate post this week. In other words, make 1 post per question to your attorney.
