Andrew is an undergraduate management major at the University of Miami. He has just finished the requirement for the core management science course. The grading for the course is composed of a midterm exam, a final exam, individual assignments, and class participation. The final exam was on Monday, and Andrew picked up his final exam grade on Tuesday, so he now knows all of the scores which will factor into his overall grade. He has earned 86 percent on the midterm, 94 percent on the final, 93 percent on the individual assignments and an 85 percent in participation. Andrew's benevolent management science instructor is allowing each student in the class to determine their own weights for each of the four components that will determine their final grade. Of course, there are some restrictions on the weightings used to arrive at an overall grade: -The participation grade can be no more that 15 percent (0.15); - The midterm exam score must count at least twice as much as the individual assignment score; - The final exam score must count as least three times as much as the individual assignments score; - Each of the four components must count for at least 10 percent (0.10) of the course grade; - The weights used must sum to one and be nonnegative. a) Formulate an LP model that will yield the set of valid weights which will maximize Andrew's score for the course. b) If this was your grade at stake, how would you assigns weights to the four components of the course without violating any of the restriction imposed by your professor and at the same time maximizing your own total score? Give me an example of weights and the corresponding score
