The mean household size in a city is 3.2 persons with a standard deviation of s = 1.6. A firm interested in estimating weekly household expenditures on food takes a random sample of n = 100 households. To check whether the sample is truly representative, the firm calculates the mean household size of the sample to be 3.6 persons. Test the hypothesis that the firm's sample is representative of the city with respect to household size (using a = 0.05).
