In winter a site engineer ordered a hot water tank for use in the site, the distance between the source of hot water and the site is 60 km, the truck which transport the tank moves by speed of 80 km/hour. The temperature of the water when the truck starts to move is 80C, the ambient temperature is 5C. The following correlation can be used: The+1 = T1 - Kdt (T. -T) Where the constant K takes values of 0.02.0.08, 0.1, 0.5, 1 and 2 while the value of di is constant at 0.2 min. Draw the temperature distribution describing these cases and if the water temperature takes 10 min to be changed from 80C to 60 C, calculate the corresponding value of K by: Goal Seek (ii) graphically How much will be the water temperature once the truck reaches the site? (iv) What would be the water temperature after 30 minutes. Do you think the site engineer will accept the truck or reject it if he wants the water temperature is 25C?
