We are focused on helping home services professionals elevate their businesses and lives.
Community coupled with the use of a modern and mobile software platform that handles the
scheduling and management aspects frees our Pros to focus on their craft.
The home services industry remains vast ($700b+) but largely untouched by technology and
unencumbered by a dominant competitor. Our company is quickly becoming the backbone
operating system for service labor across the US and Canada. We have rocketed from MVP
to the #1 ranked SaaS software platform very quickly...which has made us the fastest
growing startup in our city.
This project will give you the opportunity to make a huge impact on the lives of hard-
working Pros and connect them to mobile technology that will help them get more jobs, save
time and wow their customers.
We will provide you with a real-world dataset of sales call records to optimize our sales
operations process. Our company places a lot of sales calls to potential prospects. From
experience, we know that different times of day, number of attempts, the types of businesses
called etc. give better results than others. Since there are costs associated with time spent on
unsuccessful call attempts, data-driven optimization will have a big impact.
Organization Expectations
First, you will explore the data (call records, information about the prospect like industry,
business location, costs/time spent) to identify patterns leading to (un)successful calls.
Next, you have the opportunity to build predictive models that can estimate the
(incremental) value of a call compared to its cost and when another call attempt should (not)
be made.
This will enable you to answer important business questions like what is the optimal number.
Data Description
The main data sources are call records (includes timestamps, call duration, caller id, call
connection etc.), records about the lead that was called (e.g. their business industry and
location, their marketing channel, touch date etc.), if that person later enrolled into our
company, records about the person who placed the call and the cost of the calls.
The data will be provided through direct database access (familiarity with SQL beneficial).
We will provide credentials and support.
The number of call records will be in the millions (with connected calls in the hundreds of
thousands) spanning multiple years of time. We use the cloud database provider Snowflake.
