Please help me with this question. I am using the correct formulas but not getting the correct answers.
Innocent until proven guilty? In Japanese criminal trials, about 95% of the defendants are found guilty. In the United States, about 60% of the defendants are found guilty in six criminal trials.
These are the steps I am following.
(a)If the trials were in Japan, what is the probability that all the defendants would be found guilty? (Round your answer to three decimal places.)
Japan
n=6 p = 0.95
m = 6(0.95) = 5.7
US
n = 6 p=0.60
m= 6(0.60) = 3.7
To find the standard deviation I am using this formula
std. dev = square root of npq = square root of 6(0.95)(0.05)
