After more than two decades under the EU, the UK car market recovered. It is the top seller of automobiles to EU countries and employs the leading French, German and Italian designers, engineers, and labour technicians outside of France, Germany, and Italy. Overall it is producing some of the most advanced cars in the EU. However, in recent years, the increase of German cars and unskilled labour is negatively impacting a large portion of the UK automobile and labour market.
