Ramsey quickly realized there were quite a few financial topics that she needed to master at differentpoints in her college career and intends to be a client during the whole duration of her time at WKU.During your initial discovery meeting found out the following about Ramsey:
Ramsey has a part-time job as an employee at the local rock-climbing gym. She works 10-15 hours a week at $11an hour. During the summer she works an average of 35 hours a week at the gym and hopes to do the same inthe winter when school is out of session.
She drives a 2002 Jeep that her parents bought for her. She is responsible for the insurance payment which is$150 each month. Additionally, her parents have encouraged her to set aside money for routine maintenance asthey cannot guarantee that they will be able to help with future expenses due to them nearing retirement.
Her parents pay for her cell phone bill, which costs $110 each month.
Ramsey believes that monthly she spends about $100 on gas, $150 on dining out, $50 on coffee, and $100 on funmoney/shopping.
Ramsey currently has $2000 saved up from working over the summer. She prefer to not spend it during her firsts semester.
Ramsey needs help establishing a realistic budget. Take the first step towards building a budget for her by buildinga cashflow project using the cashflow spreadsheet through excel. Project from August to May. Assume inJanuary (due to being out of school for the holidays) that she works a total of 90 hours that month
