QUESTION - D 40 Points SCENERARIO: In our daily life we all prefer to live in valued houses and apartments and expect them to be nice and safe houses. Especially with easy access convenience in the cities or towns we live in with less traffic, parking places and needed facilities and rooms. On top of all these good values with appropriate Health and Safety features are also the most important aspects that we would prefer to have in places that we live in or work. These places can be our homes, offices, or the places that we do spend time for our leisures and needs. Despite we all would like to have such ideal enviroenment, but unfortunately due to some reasons that we do not have such places nor we even are not aware that our places are in such conditions. And it is not as simple as we might think of having such places due to certain regulations or economic reasons. Unfortunately we all may be aware that the primary reason not to have such ideal places is lack of planning. Besides lack of planning and economic reasons there might be lack of local and national official regulations, cultural and tradational approaches, legal aspects, and the last but not the least our own negligence, personal abuse of the system and mostly not to take a strong positive behavioral approaches. We all do experience wherever in the world that we are living if rules and regulations are not in place, as they would be equally just and fair, yet strictly applied for everyone impartially. As what they say "it is easier said than done" we can always find someone or something to blame on. In our daily lives we always wish to have harmful things never happened or if it happened there would be smooth, pragmatic and easier solutions. These things usually come out especially during some natural disasters where we do not have any control over them. These are earthquakes, floods, fires, landslides, tornedos, hurricanes and some other natural cases. As we could say that none of us have any control over these natural disasters, but we may be well prepared towards them before they take place so that we may survive with minimal losses. There may be many different options for each one of these natural disasters to avoid them or protect ourselves from their damages. Since we cannot control them then we have to find ways to protect ourselves against their damages. Lets think of some reasonable solutions to be prepared for such a natural disaster and be ready for it if it ever happens to us. The solutions that we do suggest may be applicable to any of the natural disasters, but for sake of simplicity lets think of our solution is for the event of earthquakes. As we all know that earthquakes does not kill but the houses that we do built improperly cause the major damages due to not to have strong buildings for such disasters. System Analysis and Design Most lives are lost during eathquakes is due to being subject to impact or sufication from dust if the house we live in is collapsed while we are also in them. And also difficulties of being rescued if someone is under collopsed building rubbles. The most logical solution would be to make sure that our buildings are strong enough and built properly. To ensure the quality of buildings we live in, we simply rely on official regulations and the construction companies' testimonies and assurances. Having the same rules and regulations in different countries, the way that they are imposed or forced to be implemented as they would be on the official papers, but unfortunately we do get tremendously different results for almost the same magnitude of earthquakes for different places. So, this telis us there is some misuse during application of the rules and regulations. Now we do have to consider such a problem from different perspectives so that there will not be any misuse nor misunderstanding take place during application. We will consider the solution in terms of several aspects: 1. Legal aspects, 2. Local municipality aspects 3. Construction Companies. 4. Use of Technology. 5. Quality of materials used. 6. Building Structure. 7. Proper ground features" survey for the base 8. Controllers and inspection, 9. Insurance. Untill now we have illustrated some scenerios and your task is to design a system so that the implementation processes are being tracked properly. Yourjob would be to design an UML based modelling system. Just like you have done in your final Project, you will have to consider role or the profession that you would select b is Controller or Inspectors. State or show the appropriate UML diagrams in your modelling by considering the all aspects given above such as; As a controller you are the sole responsible authonty that all of the rules and regulations are in place, and to ensure that implemented properly. 1. Make sure all national and local governmental requirements are provided such as; a. If the land is legally permitted to build such a building nationally b. Acossibilty to main roads c. Is the nature of the building is for residence or industry or business d. Availability of private insurance company legislation to be in piace 2. If the land has the required infrastructure by municipality such as electricity, water, sewage, road, etc. a. Is the ground survey done i. Sandy ii. Muddy iii. Water iv. Rocky v. Loose ground b. Proper base construction identified according to ground survey 3. Selection of licenced construction company a. Building Project Plan by Architecture b. Licenced Civil Engineer approval and atttendance c. Construction Team certification 4. Use of Technology according to Ground Survey and Construction Materials a. Radial base system b. Pole or stake c. Oscillators d. Static calculations i. Columns ii. Beams iii. Shear walls e. Cement ratio f. Iron type 5. Quality of Materials a. Cement b. Iron c. Isolation material d. Electrical specs 6. Insurance a. Controlling and inspection should be done by an independent insurance company from day one till to the end. b. Insurance company should be responsible for any damages done by any natural disater for the next 50 yrs. Please Answer: 1. In order to ensure the accountabilility & liability and the legal requirements to follow up such a project; state or show all appropriate UML Diagrams modeling. 2. Explain why you have selected the models you have used. (briefly, no more than one paragraph) 3. Explain or state the main steps for the implementation of your development 4. What kind of Testing Methodology you would be using for your software developmen
