Great dialogue on the topic of probability and the meaning of 0 and 1 inclusive.Remember probability is simply the quantitative and or statistical likelihood of an event occurring based on a fixed number of possible outcomes (simple probability) or a distribution of outcomes over a specified time period (probability distribution).0 and 1 are just raw scores that have not yet been converted to percentages, which really places the respective probability into the appropriate perspective.0 and 1 are absolute values meaning that if the probability of an event happening is 0 the it will NOT happen and if the probability of an event happening is 1 then it WILL happen.0 and 1 can also be characterized as 0% and 100%, therefore the probability of any event occurring will be between 0%-100% inclusive. For simple probability with a defined and or fixed number of outcomes, the probability can be calculated by simple dividing the desired outcome by the total number of possible outcomes, however, calculating probabilities from a distribution of possibilities will be a bit more complex based on the desired outcome of measure.
