Please post your opinions on the following scenarios:

Scenario 1: two individuals approach Andrew (who is a museum curator) and tell him: steal a painting from the museum or we will kill your family. Andrew steals the painting. Should Andrew be held criminally responsible for the theft? Why?

Scenario 2: same facts as above, except Andrew is told not to steal a painting, but to kill security guards (and he does kill them). Should he be held criminally responsible? Why?
