For example, you want to know the income level from the target market, then you need to ask a question about the income in your questionnaire.
What would be key information to understand and gain from a questionnaire your are creating before expanding Starbucks into a new region of the world. The region in this example is India, what would you want to ask or need to know before making the choice to expand or not to India.
(In short I need to establish 12-15
questions for a questionnaire that will gather the necessary and best
information to use for making a business decision and then summarize what I expect
or am hopeful to gain and learn from the data obtained by the survey.)
My questions were
1.)Is Starbucks currently financially capable of investing in the expansion without jeopardizing its current operations?
2.)Has Starbucks taken the time to identify the best sites in India for the physical expansion?
3.)Does Starbucks offer or present a unique selling proposition that will allow them to outperform competition that is already established or also entering the market ?
4.)Are the companies current available cash on hand enough for supporting operations until the new regions cash flows improve?
5.)Have there been proper surveys and research to establish and prove there is a sufficient customer in India for maintaining growth and success?
6.)How is the company going to have to change and alter its marketing and sales approaches or requirments in a new region that will impose new and different regulations and laws?
7.)Are there any necessary new licenses required? Will aquiring those be time consuming or costly for Starbucks?
8.)How can the company ensure that all customers including existing and returning ones can get the same quality and level of service at the new locations.
9.)What exactly does Starbucks hope to accomplish by expanind starbucks into India? What are the advantages and disadvantages that should be considered prior to expansion?
10.) Will the company be able to sucesfully integrate into Indias culture? Is there anyevidence that cultural factors may have impact on their marketability of the product or service?
11.) What will be the most effective way for Starbucks to break into the international market, particulary India, and why?
12.) Is there any worry or potential for Starbucks to be subject to high tarrifs or barriers when exporting in the region?
13.) Will the company be providing sufficient oppurtunities for local staffing? If so what is the recruiting plan look like?
My issue is coming up with a summary of what I am expecting or hoping to gain and learn and understand from gaining the anwsers to these question or any recommendations for other questions or thoughts how to better ask them would be greatly appreciated!
