I have written several papers up to this point and it's still a learning process. Throughout my career in the military, I've taken several professional military education courses that required writing papers as well and it's been insightful and dreadful at the same time to learn in different areas. Early on, it was a bit confusing, learning from multiple professors and military personnel, and having to learn the military way of writing papers in the military format. After attending AMU on a more regular basis, it changed the way I write now. I'm writing better because of the way the professor's grade and critique my papers I have written in previous classes. I've improved dramatically, because some professors have a particular way of how they instruct on how to write papers. APUS has a standard format and require all students to write the same way, and it's the repetition that increases my ability to write better. Even though my writing style has changed over the years of my schooling, this has given me the tools I need to be a better professional and communicate on a higher level. I could improve on punctuations and proofreading my work, because I've noticed a lot of errors after the fact, on papers and emails that I wrote, submitted, or sent out to people.
