There are some factors to consider before deciding on this scenario. First, the center offers dialysis for people with kidney disease. Also, these patients are susceptible to COVID, so all employees must be vaccinated. This is simply for the safety of the patients. While everyone likes Rob, he endangers the patients and the organization he works with. I believe this is probable cause for termination which is the ethical thing to do in this situation. Therefore, before making this decision, it is essential to note that employers can dismiss an employee at any time (Gilbert, 2016, p.155). However, because Rob is great with patients, it will be best to talk to him about this problem. This will allow him a chance to explain himself and redeem himself. If Rob fails to take accountability, then I would have to find a way to prove that his vaccination card is fake. In addition, fake vaccination cards are illegal, which will allow me to take further action toward terminating him. However, if Rob can take responsibility for his actions, he will get the chance to bring in an authentic vaccination card along with weekly tests to ensure the safety of the staff and patients.
