A survey of 500 students taking one or more courses in College Algebra, English and Statistics during one semester revealed the following numbers of students in the indicated subjects. Algebra 329 Algebra and English 83 English 186 Algebra and Statistics 217 Statistics 295 English and Statistics 63 How many students were taking: i) All 3 subjects? ii) Algebra but not Statistics? iii) English but not Algebra? iv) Statistics but not English? v) Algebra or Statistics but not English? vi) Algebra but not English or Statistics? In a class 40% students are working and 60% non-working. Of those working it is found that 15 percent secure 'A Grade' and of the non-working 20 percent secure 'A Grade.'
