You have been working at the Ministry of Health in Ontario for over a decade and you were recently promoted to Director of System Integration.Your first task is to develop a strategy that is based on Porter's framework of Value-Based Healthcare to address how joint replacement (hip and knee replacement) services in Ontario will be integrated.Remember that joint replacement services involve both hospital care and community care.You will be required to make recommendations for each of the 6 components of Porter's framework for Value-Based Healthcare.

(a) Describe how hip and knee joint replacement services in Ontario can be integrated by taking a Service Integration approach and a Clinical Integration approach.Be sure to fully explain your answer (don't just provide definitions) and include how service integration and clinical integration relate to the Integration Matrix in your explanation (e.g. type, degree, and components).

(b) For each of the 6 components of Porter's framework: Clearly explain how each component of Porter's framework could be applied to integrating joint replacement services in Ontario.

(c) Identify and explain a current limitation in the Ontario health care system that may be a barrier to full implementation of Porter's framework for joint replacement services.
