STUDENT 1

I believe some ways a manager can enrich their team members is by allowing employees to gain extra responsibilities pertained towards their current role. I think this allows employees to build courage, skills and allows other managers to see improvement done by the employee. My company allows employees to help supervisors when it is really needed. And management helps their next up on the hierarchy. This allows training and encourages people to move up within a company.

I think the 360- degree performance allows employees to analyze themselves, but their coworkers and managers as well get to analyze and give feedback. I feel like this allows employees to see where they could improve and gets feedback that also leads to training from peers. This is a great team bonding exercise and allows employees to use this throughout the year, which will help improve the business.

STUDENT 2

A supervisor can enrich subordinates' jobs any many ways such as through autonomy and feedback. When supervisors give their subordinates the freedom to decide how to complete their tasks it builds trust. At my previous job at Starbucks, we had certain tasks that needed to be done by a set time. My supervisor was not really strict on the order of us completing these tasks, he just made sure they were done on time. By allowing us this freedom we were able to find out what works best for us. At my current job, my supervisor gives us feedback regularly. This is important because I am involved in sales. To help me reach my goals I need to know where I can improve or where my strengths are. Hackman and Oldham stated these characteristics affect employees' motivation and I agree. An employee will not perform to the best of their abilities if they do not feel valued.

I think the 306-degree performance appraisal is a great way to receive feedback from subordinates and clients. I believe you receive the most honest feedback anonymously. At my current job, we use this to give feedback on middle managers and top managers and it is very helpful. Managers realize what they can improve on, and the CEO can see if employees are happy with the organization. The 360-degree helps managers create SMART goals for employees. These goals can insist on coming up with action plans for employees to become successful.

STUDENT 3

Based on the readings and previous knowledge, I would say that online learning is the future of education. Before reading the two articles, I was and still am a student of online learning. I appreciate this style of learning a lot as much of my day is dependent on myself. My daily structure, workload, and how often I study are dependent on my own drive and motivation to do so. Being online also allows me to work part-time to pay various bills that I have. The sources have not provided much additional information but have backed up my reasons for thinking online learning is the future. One of the biggest reasons supporting online learning in the articles is also one of the reasons that I support online learning myself. The asynchronous aspect of being able to learn wherever, whenever, provides many students with the convenience they need to pursue other endeavors throughout their life all while attending and studying college curriculum.

STUDENT 4

I feel as though online learning will be a option for the future of education. I don't think that we will merge to 100% online learning, but optional yes. Seeing as though, I've done online learning my last year in high school, I was already aware of the interactions. Meaning I would have less interactions with my classmates and teachers. I knew about it being self pace as well. And I feel like with it being self pace that is something that would be considered with online learning being an option for the future.
